If you have additional time, before inserting the new filter, I recommend cleaning out the filter housing (box) with a damp cloth, it's usually gets dusty and small debris may collect. Make sure it's clean and dry before closing the filter housing.

Battery T Shaped Screw / Bolt on Terminal

Purchased a new battery from dealer (approx $199) to replace the non-stock and incorrect CCA that came with my X3 (car purchased from a non-BMW dealer). During installation, tightening the terminal screw / bolt,  I ended up overtightening and broke off the 10mm nut. I went to all the retail auto parts stores in my area and no one had the battery terminal bolt. The bolt is T shaped and somehow no one seems to carry and the auto parts staff told me to just go to the BMW dealer. Well no, not about to do that! So searching online I found this was a common issue for individuals with that type of battery terminal, requiring a T-shape bolt. Here is a forum post I found that talks about this and the replacement. I asked my local Volkswagen dealer and they charge $10 nowadays for that part (# 6x0-915-138).
